We went to high school together and were good friends who never dated, even though Lee claims he liked me back then. After high school, we both went our separate ways, lost touch and never saw each other again.

Fast forward 24 years, Lee ran in my parents and asked my parents about me. My mom got him up to speed on my life and he asked if he could have my number. Mom gave him my number. We made plans in January to meet for a drink at a local restaurant, where it was super easy and felt like we picked up right where we left off all those years ago.

We started to rebuild our friendship again for a few months before quickly realizing that there was something there. We started dating in March and Lee proposed in December in front of my family and few precious strangers at a Christmas Event in Dallas, Texas.
